Hi, My daughter gave birth to a beautiful Down Syndrome boy a month ago. Her prenatal screening came back negitive and she is only 21 years old. This came as a huge shock to us. Now that the shock has worn off (and even before) we are crazy about Javien. I was wondering how we can get a book. hanks, Julie

Hi, My daughter gave birth to a Down Syndrome little boy a month ago. We didn’t know that he had DS until he was born. Her screening came back negitive and she is only 21 years old. She is a great Mom and we love Javien dearly. I was wondering how we can get a book. Thanks, Julie

Hello,
I am a proud father of Emilee (almost 3) who has down syndrome. It has been a very rough road for my wife and I but would like to share a father’s story if you are interested. I read the first Gifts and loved. It was reccommended by a dear friend of mine that lives in KY that was going to adopt our little girl but by the Grace of God we were shown that we were supposed to raise this little precious sweetheart. Like I said there have been a lot of challenges along the way but it has gotten better. thank you for your time
P.S. Is Gifts 2 due out soon?

Hi–
Do you have/know of a site that specifically handles adoption for babies with Down syndrome? Is it here and I’m missing it? (I am totally impressed with the site!)–We know of a newborn girl with DS that needs a home, and was always under the impression that there were families waiting to adopt babies w/DS. the fact that this child is currently at Bethany Christian adoption agency and needs a home makes me wonder that the “waiting list” of adoptive parents is a myth?
Thanks.
Lucy Rogers
Mother of Genevieve, 4 years old, with DS.

I am a new mum in Australia of a gorgeous little boy who was born lsat week with down syndrome (diagnosed at 20 weeks). A friend from Canada sent me a copy of “Gifts” – I thought it was wonderful to read and it has helped me tremendously. I only wish I had found the book earlier because it would have helped me understand better in the first few weeks.
